*-Today’s rainout at Yankee Stadium pushed the Angels’ rotation back one day, so LHP Joe Saunders is scheduled to start Monday instead of today.

**-The Yankees also pushed their rotation back a day, with RHP Phil Hughes moving from today to Monday.

***-The Blue Jays called up LHP Brett Cecil to join their injury-riddled rotation, with LHP David Purcey being optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas.

****-Toronto also recalled RHP Robert Ray to their rotation, with LHP Brian Burres going to Las Vegas. Ray was brought up originally because it would have been his night to pitch for the 51s, but he did well enough for the Jays to earn another start.

*-RHP Carlos Zambrano’s start Friday is in question because he suffered a strained left hamstring while beating out a bunt today. If he couldn’t start, the Cubs would most likely recall a pitcher from Triple-A Iowa. RHPs Jose Ascanio and Mitch Adkins have made the last two starts for Iowa, whose last two games have been rained out. The rotation is even more scrambled at Double-A Tennessee, which has had its last three games postponed.

**-The Astros are expected to take RHP Brian Moehler off the disabled list to start Monday. To make room on the roster, Houston is likely to put RHP Doug Brocail, who also suffered a strained left hamstring today.

3*-Astros RHP Roy Oswalt will start again Tuesday because he left Saturday’s start after one inning and a long rain delay.

4*-Rained out in Philadelphia today, the Mets pushed their rotation back one day, so RHP John Maine will start Monday’s game.

5*-New York most likely will remove LHP Oliver Perez from its rotation. It’s not clear whether he would go to the bullpen, accept a minor league assignment or go on the disabled list because of a newly reported right knee injury. If he kept his spot in the rotation, he would start Friday. If not, taking his place could be LHP Ken Takahashi, who relieved Perez in the third inning Sunday. Expect between now and then to hear almost daily rumors that RHP Pedro Martinez would rejoin the Mets. No one seems to care that he can’t pitch any more either.

6*-LHP Cole Hamels (ankle injury) has had his next start pushed back until Friday. That has been made more possible because the Phillies pushed their rotation back a day after today’s rainout.

7*-Rained out in Washington, the Cardinals pushed RHP Kyle Lohse and the rest of their rotation back a day.

8*-The Senators also pushed their rotation back a day, so LHP John Lannan now is scheduled to start Monday.
