*-RHP Matt Albers is supposed to take the rotation spot vacated when the Orioles released RHP Adam Eaton. However, Albers pitched in relief Saturday after RHP Koji Uehara left the game. If Albers isn’t ready to start Tuesday, Baltimore could bring up LHP Chris Waters, who started Wednesday for Triple-A Norfolk.

**-Uehara left Saturday’s start because of a sore left hamstring. It’s not clear that he’d be able to start Thursday.

3*-The Indians might put RHP Anthony Reyes on the disabled list. He left Friday’s start because of an elbow injury. The most likely candidate to replace him Wednesday would be LHP Zach Jackson, who started Friday at Triple-A Columbus.

4*-RHP Armando Galarraga struggled again in Saturday’s start. He’ll still be in the rotation Thursday, but he or LHP Dontrelle Willis could be out once RHP Jeremy Bonderman comes off the disabled list. Check how he does Tuesday in his third injury-rehab start at Triple-A Toledo.

5*-The Royals have demoted RHP Luke Hochevar, whose turn would come up Friday, to Triple-A Omaha to give him a chance to make regular starts. Their short-term schedule provides off days that will allow Kansas City to go with a four-man rotation. Think of it this way: KC’s rotation will have two days of RHP Zack Greinke and none of Hochevar.

6*-RHP Anthony Swarzak pitched seven shutout innings Saturday in his major league debut against the Brewers. He replaced LHP Glen Perkins, who is on the disabled list. Swarzak is the real deal, another control pitcher from the Twins’ stockpile.

7*-RHP Edgar Gonzalez has joined the Athletics’ in-flux rotation.

8*-With LHP Scott Kazmir (left quadriceps injury) on the disabled list, the Rays have recalled LHP David Price, their former No. 1 draft pick, from Triple-A Durham.

9*-Blue Jays RHP Casey Janssen came off the disabled list to start Saturday, which would make his next start Friday after Thursday’s day off.

*-Diamondbacks RHP Bill Buckner pitched well in his first start after being recalled when Arizona returned RHP Bryan Augenstein to the minors. Buckner’s next start is scheduled for Wednesday.

**-Cubs RHP Randy Wells started Saturday because RHP Rich Harden (back) went on the disabled list. Wells’ next start is scheduled for Thursday. If you have Harden on your roster, don’t be upset with him for being injured. Be upset with yourself for putting the walking disabled list on your team.

3*-RHP Homer Bailey returned to the Reds to start Saturday because RHP Edinson Volquez went on the DL. Bailey’s next start would be Friday.

4*-Unless the Marlins bring up a pitcher, perhaps one they’ve recently demoted to the minors, they would move RHP Burke Badenhop from the bullpen to start Wednesday.

5*-Florida already has rookie LHP Sean West in its rotation after sending their Opening Day starter, RHP Ricky Nolasco, to Triple-A New Orleans. West made his first major league start Saturday and would be in line to start again Friday.

6*-The Phillies replaced RHP Chan Ho Park in their rotation with LHP J.A. Happ. He started Saturday, and would be on schedule to start Friday with four days’ rest. Philadelphia could move their ace, LHP Cole Hamels, who started today, ahead of Happ.

7*-LHP Ross Detwiler has made two starts for the Nationals. He has had some control problems, but allowed only one hit in eight innings during Saturday’s start and has a 2.45 ERA. He would pitch again Friday, and appears to have a long-term place in Washington’s rotation.
